Scent Update
I finally had a chance to work on Vintage Rose on Saturday, and I have what I hope is the final mod. I’ll send out a couple testers and hope to get it back on the site by the end of the month.
I scaled up the formulas for the first two all-natural scents, the vetiver citrus and cocoa sandalwood. I need to send out a few testers of these, and I hope they will also be on the site by the end of the month. I’m still waiting on delivery of the organic alcohol though.
Lots of orders came in this weekend, so I’ve been busy. I think people are getting in the mood for cool weather scents again.
Looking forward to your all-natural scents Laurie as a special Christmas gift to MOI. Have loved everything from you so far!
Thanks, Laura! Hope you’ll like these!
The all natural scent will be a holiday present for myself as well 🙂 Can’t wait until they come out. I am curious as to how the Citrus Vetiver was “tweaked” Although I think cocoa sandalwood would be right up my alley (love NC sandalwood and the other notes as well) I think the vetiver will be the first one I try as it sounds like it would be a good one for those who are sensitive to fragrance (as you know,Laurie, I am surrounded by them :)!!). What do you think?
Hi Brie,
Well, you know me, I’ll always say to sample first. I’ve increased the vetiver since the first mod. So far the cocoa sandalwood seems to be stronger than the citrus vetiver. It’s a yummy spiced wood scent, sort of gingerbready sandalwood. Both are softly spicy and should be good for the holidays, but the vetiver is cleaner and fresher while the cocoa sandalwood is richer and sweeter. I can’t make the cocoa dissolve in an oil base so I’m not going to be able to do a matching body oil for that one, unless I do it without the cocoa or unless you shake before use. Not sure yet what I’ll do about that. I’m shooting just to finish the edp for now and will do the oils after the holidays.
