New sample menu on website
I wanted to mention that samples are now all gathered together into one spot on the Fragrance page below the list of scents. The product menu for each scent just lists full size items, and samples for all scents have a separate menu further down the page. You can scroll down or just click the “Samples” menu button in the navigation menu at the top and bottom of each page. The html code will be easier for me to edit this way. So don’t worry because samples seem to have disappeared; they’re still available but just moved to a new menu.
I finally did some blending on gardenia today! Getting back to working on the scents feels good. I’m trying it without the cedar and with a tweak to the musk blend. I make a change and then compare to the last fave, pick a winner, and move on to further tweak. The cedar seemed a little sharp to me and I think this may be better.
I’m testing a few ingredient samples from several companies. The rose otto is delicious. It’s less spicy than my Kazanlik rose absolute, less deep, more fresh, but it doesn’t last as long. I’m also sampling linden absolute from France; I’ve not seen this offered before. It doesn’t smell like linden. My first impression is algae and tabac, very green, herbal, and a bit odd. I’ll have to play with it. Also a jasmine grand CO2 that seems pretty; I’ll have to do a side-by-side with my jasmine grand absolute.
My new bottle labels are due to arrive tomorrow and I’m really looking forward to them! I’m holding orders that came in yesterday and today to ship Saturday with the new labels, assuming they look good!
