Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Champagne de Bois is back in stock on the fragrance page.

I wish I could read these reviews, but they are fun to see: a review of Winter Woods and a review of Incense Pure on a Polish blog. Love the pictures of the tiger!

Spring is on hold here while we have lots of rain. It’s very soggy. I’m done with the Reves take-off and am still working on the other new scent. Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!

  1. Hello, this is Sabbath from Sabbath of Senses. Thank you for mentioning my reviews.
I have just added another Sonoma Scent Studio perfume review on my site.
The title of the Incense Pure review could be translated as “Crouching Tiger”, ant todays Fireside Intense as: “A Dragon. Not Hidden at All”. As You probably noticed, the titles are refering to the movie “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon”.
The Winter Woods title is a fragment of a poem of a polish poet from the XVI century and it means in old-polish “…And take a rest”.

Thanks to a reader from Netherlans, who was so nice to send me some samples of Your fragrances I had the opportunity to experience something incredible. I hope your fragrances will become more popular in Poland.

    1. Hi Sabbath, thanks for stopping by! And thank you so much for the reviews. The imagery on your blog looks beautiful, and I like the restful connotation for Winter Woods. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the scents. I have some wonderful customers in Poland. Amazing how fragrance brings people together from all over the world. 🙂

  2. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I’m happy to hear that you’ve finished with the Reves take-off. When do you expect it to be available? It’s on my to-buy list. 🙂

    1. Hi Ann,
I’m working more on the other new one to see if I can release both together, but if it doesn’t seem done soon I’ll go ahead and get the Reves take-off out first. Glad you’re looking forward to it!

  3. I’d have already pounded down your door for some Champagne de Bois, except that I did a nice swap with someone over the winter who found that she wasn’t wearing her CdB much. So I’m set for now. 🙂

Am really looking forward to smelling the new things!

    1. Hi mals, glad you didn’t have to wait! I think I’ll go ahead and come out with the one new scent as soon as the first batch is filtered because it’d be nice for spring and it’ll be a bit longer before the second new scent is done.

  4. I just got my bottle of Champagne de Bois yesterday, and I am in heaven. My sample vial ran out quite a while ago, and I had considered more samples, but decided to wait for a FB instead. I have sampled quite a few perfumes over the last couple years–perhaps 200 or so–in all price ranges, and CdB is one the most beautiful things I have found anywhere.

I am also enjoying trying out the sample of the new Reves take-off, and I think I prefer it to the original (on me at least). I tend to prefer warmer, richer scents for myself. I do detect a deeper, woody note in it. I guess that is the oakwood absolute? In any case, I like it.

    1. Hi 50_Roses! Glad you’re enjoying the CdB and thanks for your patience on that. I’m sorry you had to wait a while.

Also glad you’re liking the Reves take-off. I prefer it to the original for the same reason — the additional woodsy base notes make it more interesting to me. Yes, the oak is that unique deep woodsy note in there, though it is joined by some sandalwood, cedar, and oakmoss. Thanks for feedback!
